Equipment Requirements

We are asking that all players have their own equipment and do not share helmets.

Below are the recommended items for each level of play. Players should have this equipment for both practices and games. Please reach out to information@rutherfordlittleleague.com for any questions:

Mandatory Items

Bat - All bats must meet the USA Baseball Bat standard - please refer here for more information
Helmet - Softball Must have factory-installed face guards
Glove - Sizing chart help
Heart Guard
Water bottle

Recommended Items

Athletic Cup - Highly recommended for catchers behind the plate
Plastic Cleats - Highly recommended for all levels, no metal cleats allowed. As plastic soccer and football cleats are similar, some players choose to use them interchangeably
Bag to carry equipment
Batting Gloves
Belt for pants
